Cacao pods are grown on the cacao fruit tree, also known as the Theobroma Cacao.

Cacao powder has a high antioxidant content which is essential for scavenging the body for free radicals to protect against damage. It also one of the richest plant-based sources of iron which is essential for blood health and transporting oxygen around the body.
