Tongkat Ali is also known as Pasak Bumi. Its scientific name is Eurycoma Longifolia Jack. The meaning of the word Tongkat Ali is “Ali’s walking stick” in the Malay language. It indicates the ability of the shrub to fight against physical exhaustion and mental fatigue by strengthening the immunity.
Tongkat Ali extract production starts with the harvesting of the roots. This is done by digging a hole, as the roots grow vertically into the ground sometimes as much as 2 metres deep. For the production of our Tongkat Ali extract supplement, only roots are used. While the same glyco-proteins that form the active ingredients of Tongkat Ali roots are also found in the stem, branches, and even the leaves of the shrub, the concentration of active ingredients is by far the highest in the root, especially in older roots. Tongkat Ali is used for stimulating male hormones (testosterone), enhancing testosterone production. When taken in appropriate doses, Tongkat Ali increases the testosterone level of the blood, enhancing and prompting all effects that are created by testosterone. Because of this, it is used in a variety of men's health products relating to sexual performance. In addition, it stimulates the central nervous system indirectly. It is also popular with bodybuilders and fitness enthusiasts for maintaining performance.

Chitosan is derived from chitin, which is found in the exoskeletons of shellfish such as crabs and prawns. It is similar to plant fibre in that it cannot be digested by the human body. Chitosan is a fat blocker, absorbing four to six times its weight in fat as it passes through the digestive tract. It thereby flushes fat out of the body before it becomes metabolised and stored as excess body weight.
