Soil Association Organic
CCL have achieved Organic status, with organic approval from both DEFRA and The Soil Association for a number of products we sell, which can be found on the trading schedule. This lengthy process involves obtaining organic certificates and detailed information from manufacturers, ensuring packaging is food grade, and proving all compound ingredients in products are organic. We will be adding to the list of organic materials we supply, but if there is a product you would specifically like included, please do let us know and we will endeavour to approve it asap.
ISO 9001
CCL are proud to have surpassed the ISO 9001:2001 accreditation since 2001. ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised standard for quality management, ensuring that organisations have proven processes in place to meet customer requirements. This requires passing stringent annual auditing by an independent certification body, and development to keep pace with the ever-changing requirements of our industry. Our QC team are dedicated to continually improving our systems and implementing new ones where required, in order to keep ahead of the market and offer unparalleled service.
FEMAS
CCL acquired the FEMAS accreditation in February 2008, thanks to the hard work and dedication of the team in reaching the required goals. The standard has been developed to ensure feed grade ingredient purchasers have peace of mind that the ingredients they are buying meet the most stringent quality criteria. But also of importance, the standard maintains the protection of both the animals that consume the feed ingredients, and the humans who consume products derived from these animals.
In order to comply, a thorough audit and inspection by an independent certification body must take place, showing compliance with both Hazard Analysis (HACCP) and Good Operating Practice procedures.

INFORMED SPORT
Cambridge Commodities Ltd is very proud to become the first UK nutritional ingredient supplier to have achieved the Informed-Sport site registration. At CCL we pride ourselves on the consistent quality of the ingredients we supply, and want our customers to have every confidence in the ingredients they put in to their products. Informed-Sport is a testing programme that will help us achieve this, and is designed to analyse supplements and their ingredients for inadvertent contamination with substances prohibited in sport. The Informed-Sport programme works closely with supplement manufacturers and suppliers, such as Cambridge Commodities, by providing ISO 13075 approved analytical testing to minimise the incidence of banned contaminants finding their way into sport. Even trace levels of contamination can have significant consequences, and this requires a sensitivity of testing beyond standard quality control systems.
