Who are we?

Cambridge Commodities Limited (CCL) are a leading importer, distributor, and manufacturer of nutritional ingredients in the UK, as well as made-to-specification finished products.

Founded in the 1990's, CCL have grown rapidly to include an experienced commercial and administration team working from our custom-built headquarters in the picturesque City of Ely. They are supported closely by a dedicated technical team who have over 100 years’ combined experience in the nutritional and health food industries, both in ingredients and in the manufacture of finished products. This ensures the important questions asked are answered quickly, with a deep understanding of the intricate nature of the products we supply. Our professional warehouse personnel also work from the site to guarantee excellent communication links with all members of the team.

We go to great lengths to find the most innovative ingredient solutions from around the globe, and hold enormous levels of stock, comprising of around 1800 different product lines, which help our clients to meet the tight deadlines of the modern world.

Accreditations

We implement the most modern quality systems, and have held the Quality Standard ISO 9001/2000 since 2001, as well as FEMAS, and Organic status for a number of our products. We were the first UK ingredients company to be awarded the Informed Sport accreditation as a supplier of sports nutrition ingredients which have been tested against the IOC and WADA banned substances lists. CCL are also members of ESSNA - The European Specialist Sports Alliance.

Quality matters

Liaising with stringently selected manufacturers, whom we audit in person in line with our quality accreditations, we ensure a consistent supply of high-quality ingredients to our clients. CCL closely monitors all packaging, storage and transport systems, and undertakes regular independent testing with UKAS approved laboratories.

Batch Certificates of Analysis are supplied with every product in every delivery we make, and all goods also come with a technical dossier detailing information relating to relevant pharmacopoeias, allergens, base raw materials, GMO status, Vegetarian and Vegan status, irradiation and microbiological contamination, pesticide residues, Material Safety Data Sheet / COSSH data and manufacturing process (where applicable). We will also gladly assist with any specific information about any of our products, and on this website you can also access additional specific information.

Overnight delivery anywhere in England, Wales & Scotland is usually available for stock items, and our overseas clients can enjoy a 3-4 day lead-time on deliveries from stock.
